“Mango Season” solo exhibition 2026

JUNE 3 — 28th, 2026

Mango Season a solo exhibition of new paintings will be on view at the Bromfield Gallery in the SOWA arts district in Boston from June 3 - 28th, 2026. This body of work includes expansions of studies begun at AIR Guiniguada, and in Costa Rica. The opening reception is Friday, June 5th, from 6-8 pm.

MARCH - APRIL 2027

Cynthia and long-time choreographic collaborator Nikki Sao Pedro-Welch reunite to create a new intermedia dance production in conjunction with a solo show of Cynthia’s recent paintings and drawings. Armations is the name of the creative collective Nikki and Cynthia formed over a decade ago for a range of intermedia projects including site-specific and full performances at Triangle NY’s Governors Island location, The Rose Theater, Endicott'‘s Black Box Tia’s Theater, Art on the Trails, as well as workshops and conference presentations.

ART RESIDENCY IN GRAN CANARIA

AiR Guiniguada | Gran Canaria, Spain

In 2025 Cynthia was at the ecologically-oriented arts and research residency located in Guiniguada, near Santa Brigida on the island of Grand Canary, a Spanish territory. The cluster of islands is located west of Morocco and north of Western Sahara, Africa. During this time she explored line drawings and studies of local flora and the diverse volcanic region.
